NCAS membership is not required. This NCAS Announce email list also sends other, occasional notices from NCAS.  You will receive an email requiring your reply to validate this request, and then you will get another email that confirms your subscription and tells you how to manage your subscription options. There is no spam. NCAS Members need to subscribe their preferred email address to this list to receive the Shadow of a Doubt and other NCAS announcements -- NCAS does not automatically add NCAS members' email address to this list when they join NCAS.
