Skeptours: A Skeptic's Guide to the National Capital Area

A Skeptic’s Guide to the National Capital Area is a project of the National Capital Area Skeptics (ncas.org).

It began in 2014 with a map and a walking tour that visited locations such as:
  • a monument to the founder of Homeopathy;
  • the site where Houdini escaped from a straightjacket while suspended upside down 100 feet in the air;
  • and the skeletal remains of one of the world’s leading Bigfoot researchers (and his dog!).
The map continues to grow and now includes sites from Northern Virginia, DC, and Baltimore. We hope you will enjoy this map and create your own skeptical explorations in the DMV. We welcome suggestions for additional inclusions relating to science, pseudoscience, folklore, and just plain weirdness. Please send your ideas to SkepTour@ncas.org or add your suggestions in the comments below.
